Delegates to Democratic Nat’l Convention selected

Local delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, in September were selected at caucuses on April 21st.

Here’s the list of delegates from Western Massachusetts’ two Congressional districts that were selected, according to a news release from the Massachusetts Democratic Party.

First District Delegates

Candy Glazer, Longmeadow

Dori L. Dean, Holyoke

Denise R. Jordan, Springfield

Sharon Ann Jewell, Chicopee

E. Henry Twiggs, Springfield

Burt Freedman, Springfield

Edward W. Collins, Jr., Springfield

Anthony Soto, Holyoke

Second District Delegates

Candy Mero Carlson, Worcester

President Barack Obama will accept his party’s nomination at the Convention in Charlotte.
