WASHINGTON (WWLP) — All eyes are on the nation’s capital as we await a Supreme Court ruling on President Obama's health care law.
22News traveled to Washington, D.C., where 42 members of local chambers of commerce are attending a biennial symposium hosted by Congressman Richard Neal. While business is on their minds, so too is this major health care ruling.
Neal, a Springfield Democrat who voted for the bill, talked to 22News about the historic decision. He said that he is hoping the court will rule to uphold the law.
“I hope that it will be left intact, and understanding that its not even fully implemented until the year 2014, that the justices will look kindly upon the major provisions of the bill. There are so many good parts of this legislation,” Neal said.
The decision is expected to be handed down late Thursday morning.
22News will be here in Washington to let you know the decision as well as what our local business leaders are learning during their stay here in D.C.
