(NBCNC) — The nation's highest court has spoken, but the battle over health care is far from over.

The ruling means young adults can stay on their parents insurance, seniors can still get drug discounts, and we'll all have to buy insurance - for now. Republicans are vowing to change that. "While the court said it's legal, that does not make it right," said Governor Scott Walker, (R) Wisconsin.

Republicans have already scheduled a july 11th vote to get rid of what they call "Obama Care." "Americans want it repealed and that's precisely what we intend to do," said Senate Minority Leader, Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

"They're wasting their time; they should be spending it on jobs," Senator Harry Reid (D-NV)/ Sen. Majority Leader.

President Obama says he'll take this election-year victory and move forward: "We'll work together to improve on it where we can. But what we won't do -- what the country can't afford to do -- is refight the political battles of two years ago," said President Barack Obama.

That's exactly what republicans plan to do between now and Election Day. "The American people then will get an opportunity to make their decision on Election Day. Because elections have consequences," said House Speaker John Boehner, (R) Ohio.

"What the court did not do on it's last day in session, I will do on my first day if elected President of the United States," said Mitt Romney, (R) Presidential Candidate.

The court affirmed the penalty for not buying insurance is constitutional - meaning other protections - like free preventive care - can stay.

But the government cannot strip states of all their federal medicaid funds if they refuse to expand the program. "This is a tax, this is going to have a devastating business impact across our state and across the country," said Greg Abbott, (R) Texas Attorney General.

The fight to get health reform has now become. A fight to keep it.
