State-wide Voter Registration Drive.

There are currently nearly 4.2 million registered voters in Massachusetts and the state wants more.

Secretary of State William Galvin this week announced a major voter registration drive over the next few weeks.   The deadline to register to vote in the November election is October 17.

And the Secretary’s office is going to make it easy to sign up.  Galvin said they’ll be out at fairs, T stations and other events during this period.

Every household in the state will also be getting a  2012 Information for Voters booklet.    It will include information on how to register to vote along with a mail-in registration form.

Voter registration forms can also be downloaded from the Secretary of State’s website.
