There are currently nearly 4.2 million registered voters in Massachusetts and the state wants more.  Â
Secretary of State William Galvin this week announced a major voter registration drive over the next few weeks.  The deadline to register to vote in the November election is October 17.  Â
And the Secretary’s office is going to make it easy to sign up.  Galvin said they’ll be out at fairs, T stations and other events during this period. Â
Every household in the state will also be getting a  2012 Information for Voters booklet.    It will include information on how to register to vote along with a mail-in registration form.   Â
Voter registration forms can also be downloaded from the Secretary of State’s website.
