Companies may now apply for slot parlor license

BOSTON (WWLP) — The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will release a number of gaming application forms Wednesday and later this week, and there is a way that you can access them.

Any developers seeking to build a slots parlor in Massachusetts can begin filling out their application forms. The Gaming Commission has officially posted the applications forms to apply for a slots parlor license on their official website.

On Friday, they will also post the first set of application forms to apply for a casino license. Casino applicants will be required to disclose information like their corporate structure, any civil lawsuits against them, tax returns, or if they have ever been audited.

Gaming Commissioner James McHugh explained further: “Whether a tax return has ever been adjusted or audited, or if the applicant has ever failed to file a tax return and concluded that should be public, the results not necessarily so, the fact of an audit or adjustment or a failure to file should be.”

The deadline to hand in the first set of casino license application forms and the $400,000 application fee is January 15.
