2012 Brown-Warren Special Program

(WWLP) — Friday, October 19 at 10 p.m., WWLP-22News will broadcast an hour-long Decision 2012 special with Massachusetts Senate Candidates Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren. Each candidate will be given separate, back-to-back, half-hours of uninterrupted, unedited free airtime. 22News Anchor Laura Hutchinson will ask each candidate questions. No time constraints will be placed on the length of the candidates’ answers, only on the total airtime provided to both.

President and General Manager of WWLP Bill Pepin said, “Traditional debates often don’t provide candidates the opportunity to adequately present their platforms and initiatives. We wanted to offer each candidate free airtime to speak directly to the voters and state their case.”

The hour-long special will also be streamed live on WWLP.com which is available both online and on all mobile devices.

WWLP-22News is an NBC affiliate providing local news, network, syndicated, and local programming to western Massachusetts. The station also provides superior digital breaking news and weather coverage through its websites WWLP.com and onpolitix.com, and on all mobile devices.
