Sen. Brown will meet with NAACP leader

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) — One day after denying a request from the president of the Springfield Branch of the NAACP for a town hall meeting, Senator Scott Brown has a change of heart.

In a release sent to 22News, Senator Brown's office said the Senator and Reverend Talbert Swan now have tentative plans to meet in March.

Rev. Swan told 22news Thursday night that the group was told by the Senator Brown’s office that he could not fit the branch's request into his schedule this year.

According to latest new release, Senator Brown's state director will meet also with Reverend Swan at his church in February.
