The ballot question would end a tax on the sale of alcohol in Massachusetts, a measure that was just approved on last year's ballot.
The question is being pushed by the state's liquor stores. They argue that the tax is hurting stores, especially those near the border of tax-free New Hampshire.
Opponents say while basic necessities like clothing and food deserve to be exempted from the state sales tax, alcohol doesn't.

Last time I checked, alcohol was not a necessity. If you don't like the tax, don't buy the liquor. This way the sneaky government won't get ANY of your money. Stealing would be taxing milk and bread, but if you willingly buy liquor, you are willingly paying the tax.
