A question to repeal the state's affordable-housing law will appear on the November ballot.
If approved, the question would repeal Chapter 40B, which allows developers to be expemt from local zoning laws if they agree to sell 25 percent of the homes they build at a lower price than the local market.
Critics of the law argue that the current law favors developers that waste and abuse the program.
Supporters of the law say it has led to the creation of 58,000 low-income housing units since 1969.

All low income should have a low-income rent; not a crazy one like me at $850. I strongly feel all folks should do their homework on this Q.before voting on it!! The rent I pay is from both me & my child's disability check. The only thing we can do is sleep & often eat!26 yrs on a sec 8 list is so sad! I'm going to Boston next. All that really need it should get it, not suffer! Shame on congress & our mayor. Noho
